vMASC Call For Abstracts (for 2025/26)

vMASC Early-Career Seminars: Call for Abstracts

The organising committee of the virtual Macrocyclic and Supramolecular Chemistry (vMASC) seminar series are inviting abstracts from all early-career researchers (Master’s, PhD, post-doc) for oral presentations from January to July 2026.

The committee wishes to encourage submissions from any researcher working in supramolecular chemistry in the broadest sense.

Please prepare your abstract, including a very short biography, using the abstract template below, and online submission formhttps://forms.gle/oC5Tq7vcRRdXUM9F7

Please select one of the following general categories when submitting your abstract:

  • Macrocycles
  • Host guest chemistry
  • Mechanically interlocked molecules
  • Molecular cages
  • Supramolecular materials
  • Computational supramolecular chemistry
  • Supramolecular sensors
  • Supramolecular catalysis
  • Crystal engineering
  • Solid state supramolecular chemistry
  • Other

The closing date for abstract submission is Friday 19th December 2025 with outcomes announced later this season.

The closing date for abstract submission is Friday 19th December 2025 with outcomes announced later this season.

There are many reasons to submit an abstract:

  • Showcase your research to a wide and international audience;
  • Discuss your science amongst a friendly community;
  • An opportunity to develop your presentation skills (CV building material!);
  • Community feedback (and short provided upon request).

The committee will be looking to fulfill the following criteria when selecting abstracts for presentation:

  • Breadth and quality of scientific research;
  • Opportunities for research students;
  • Increasing participation from a wider range of research groups and institution;
  • International representation due to flexible time slots (9:30am or 2:30pm UK time).
