The MASC/WISC EDIA Award recognises early career researchers who have not yet completed their PhD or are within 7 years of completion of their PhD and have not yet obtained a permanent position that:
- work in the field of macrocyclic and supramolecular chemistry,
- contribute to initiatives addressing EDIA issues in supramolecular chemistry or in the wider community (scientific or general),
- have a strong link to the RSC MASC Interest Group. The Group seeks to encourage applications from researchers with diverse interests and backgrounds.
This award is open to nominations from any country.

The 2025 MASC/WISC EDIA Award is to Dr Aisha Bismillah, King’s College, London, “for significant contributions to the scientific community, particularly the supramolecular field, promoting inclusion of underrepresented groups (ie women, people with disabilities and of colour) enabling retention, engagement and meaningful changes”. This will be awarded at the MASC annual meeting, held at the Open University, Milton Keynes, on the 15th and 16th December, 2025
2025 is the first year for this award, so there are no current or past winners.
The MASC interest group sponsors the MASC/WISC EDIA Award, providing £100 prize money.
