ECR25 Venue

The ECR MASC Meeting 2025 will be held at the University of Oxford’s Inorganic Chemistry Laboratory (access guide available here). Lunch and the poster session will be at the Chemistry Research Laboratory (access guide available here), across the road from the Inorganic Chemistry Laboratory.

Travel Suggestions

Train:
The Inorganic Chemistry Laboratory is a 20-minute walk away from the train station, through the centre of Oxford. Alternatively, you can take the bus lines 14 and X4 from stop R4, which will take you to Keble Road. The ICL is a 10-minute walk away from there. Taxis are also usually available outside the train station.

Plane:
If you are flying to Birmingham Airport, the quickest way to get to Oxford is a 1-hour train from Birmingham International.

If you are flying to London, The Airline coach service can take you to Oxford from Gatwick and Heathrow, while National Express has coaches from Stansted and Luton. All Coaches terminate at Oxford Bus Station in Gloucester Green, which is a 15-minute walk away from the venue.

Train routes to Oxford from the London airports are as follows:

Gatwick: 2-hour journey, change in Reading

Heathrow: 1.5-hour journey, change in London Paddington

Luton: 2-2.5 hour journey. Take the DART shuttle to Luton Airport Parkway, where you can get a train to London. Trains to Oxford leave from London Paddington and Marylebone stations, which can be reached via the London Underground.

Stansted: 2.5-hour journey. The Stansted Express will take you to London. Trains to Oxford leave from London Paddington and Marylebone stations, which can be reached via the London Underground.

Car:
Parking in Oxford can be limited and most on-street parking space is restricted to permit holders.

If you are driving to Oxford, you can leave your car at a Park and Ride site. Locations, parking fees, and bus timetables between the Park and Ride sites and the city centre can be found at this link.
