Travel Suggestions
Train:
The University of Kent campus, including the Grimond Lecture Theatre, is approximately a 20 minute walk from Canterbury West train station. Alternatively, you can take the bus lines Uni1 and Uni2 from Westgate Towers to Science Building stop. The Grimond LT1 is 2-minute walk away from there. Taxis are also usually available outside the train station.
Plane:
Canterbury is easily accessible by train from several London airports. From Heathrow, Gatwick, Stansted, or Luton, you can take a combination of trains and London tube connections to reach Canterbury West, usually in around two and a half to three hours.
Train routes to Canterbury from the London airports are as follows:
Gatwick: 2.30 hour journey. From Airport, take a train to London St Pancras International or London Victoria, then transfer to a train to Canterbury West.
Heathrow: 2.30-2.50 hour journey. Take Tube (Underground / Elizabeth Line) from airport to come to London St Pancras, then take high-speed tarin from St Pancras to Canterbury west station.
Luton: 2-2.30 hour journey. From Airport, take a Thameslink train to London St Pancras International, then transfer to a high-speed Southeastern train to Canterbury West.
Stansted: 2.30-2.45 hour journey. From Airport, take the Stansted Express to London Liverpool Street, then transfer via the Tube to London St Pancras International and catch a high-speed train to Canterbury West.
Car:
Free parking is available for conference attendees. Please indicate your parking requirements in the registration form.

We have a few accommodation options avaiavble on-campus. We have Guest B&B Accommodation on the Canterbury campus in Tyler Court. These en-suite rooms also include breakfast and free parking. Summer prices for these rooms are:

- En-suite double room – £83 per night
We also have Guest Self-Catered Accommodation on the Canterbury campus in Beverley Farmhouse. These are shared facilities, including bathroom and kitchen, and also offer free parking. All-year-round prices for these rooms are:
